This bold floral print is a modern interpretation of the delicately painted floral decoration on a dish in the V&A’s Chinese art collection. This particular style of decoration was known as ‘famille rose’ porcelain, due to the predominance of the pink colour in the design. Large scale peonies in full bloom rest on a crisp white ground, edged with pink contrast piping and a colourful multi-stripe reverse. The bed can be layered with a stripe throw with circular quilting pattern and a sateen cushion decorated with embroidery and grosgrain ribbon trim.
