Dressing gowns and robes are the quintessential finishing touch to any nightwear ensemble, offering both comfort and style for lounging at home. These versatile garments serve multiple purposes, from providing warmth after a bath or shower to adding a layer of modesty over nightwear. Whether you prefer the plush comfort of a fluffy bathrobe or the sleek elegance of a silky kimono, there's a perfect robe for every woman's taste and needs. When selecting a dressing gown or robe, consider the material and weight that best suits your lifestyle. Thick, absorbent terry cloth robes are ideal for post-shower use, while lightweight silk or satin robes offer a touch of luxury for everyday wear. For those in colder climates, fleece robes provide extra warmth during chilly mornings or evenings. Length is another important factor to consider. Full-length robes offer maximum coverage and warmth, while shorter styles allow for greater mobility and are perfect for warmer weather or quick cover-ups. **Tips for Choosing the Perfect Dressing Gown:** * Match the fabric to your intended use (e.g., absorbent for after bathing, silk for lounging) * Consider the seasonality and choose appropriate weights * Look for features like pockets, belts, and hood options for added functionality * Opt for machine-washable fabrics for easy care **Care Guide for Bath Robes:** * Follow care label instructions to maintain fabric quality * Wash dark colours separately to prevent fading * Use fabric softener sparingly to maintain absorbency in terry cloth robes * Hang to dry when possible to prevent shrinkage and maintain shape **Frequently Asked Questions:** * **How often should I wash my robe? **It depends on usage, but generally, wash after 3-4 wears or weekly if used daily. * **Can I wear my robe outside to collect mail or greet delivery persons? **While robes are primarily for indoor use, choosing a modest, well-secured robe is acceptable for brief outdoor moments. * **How do I prevent my robe's belt from getting lost in the wash? **Tie the belt in a loose knot before washing, or consider removing and washing it separately. **Shop By Category** [Loungewear](https://www.simplybe.co.uk/shop/c/lingerie/nightwear-loungewear/loungewear) | [Nighties](https://www.simplybe.co.uk/shop/c/lingerie/nightwear-loungewear/nighties) | [Pyjamas](https://www.simplybe.co.uk/shop/c/lingerie/nightwear-loungewear/pyjamas) | [Dressing Gowns](https://www.simplybe.co.uk/shop/c/lingerie/nightwear-loungewear/wraps-gowns) | [Slippers](https://www.simplybe.co.uk/shop/c/lingerie/nightwear-loungewear/slippers) **Shop Our Pyjamas** [Pyjama Sets](https://www.simplybe.co.uk/shop/c/lingerie/nightwear-loungewear/pyjamas/pyjama-sets) | [Cotton Pyjamas](https://www.simplybe.co.uk/shop/c/lingerie/nightwear-loungewear/pyjamas/cotton-pyjamas) | [Jersey Pyjamas](https://www.simplybe.co.uk/shop/c/lingerie/nightwear-loungewear/pyjamas/jersey-pyjamas) | [Satin Pyjamas](https://www.simplybe.co.uk/shop/c/lingerie/nightwear-loungewear/pyjamas/satin-pyjamas) | [Fleece Pyjamas](https://www.simplybe.co.uk/shop/c/lingerie/nightwear-loungewear/pyjamas/fleece-pyjamas) | [Short Pyjamas](https://www.simplybe.co.uk/shop/c/lingerie/nightwear-loungewear/pyjamas/pyjama-sets/short-sets) | [Legging Pyjamas](https://www.simplybe.co.uk/shop/c/lingerie/nightwear-loungewear/pyjamas/pyjama-sets/legging-sets)
